SME Innovation Forum

SME Innovation Forum, Oct. 23

New of this year is a third day which is called the SME Innovation Forum. We want to create a work shop and network place for SME companies to discuss innovation and business challenges. The objective is to strengthen the SME companies in the IO market both national and international by facilitating a creative meeting place and work-shop arena.

We raise topics like:

  • Innovation and business opportunities in the different segments of the IO market
  • Do the oil companies make fully use of the creativity and competence of the SME companies
  • How universities and R&D organizations can facilitate new businesses in cooperation with SME companies.

The SME Innovation forum day will be organized in plenum presentation/discussion sessions as well as work shop in groups. In the work shop part we take the four parallel sessions from the IO 08 conference and relate these to the future challenges of innovation and business development in each segment.

The SME Innovation Forum is a cooperation between the IO Center and 6 organizations at Innovation Norway and the Research Council of Norway: ARENA Integrated Operations, ARENA Rig Cluster NODE, ARENA Well Technologies Centre for Smart and Safe Wells, Norwegian Centre of Expertise (NCE) Subsea, Norwegian Centre of Expertise (NCE) System engineering, Norwegian Centre of Expertise (NCE) Instrumentation and SFI Instrumentation at Christian Michelsen Research - together with the R&D organization of StatoilHydro in Trondheim.

The participation at the SME Innovation Forum is organized by the cooperative partners above. It is planned to be run in the Norwegian language.
