Lars Bodsberg SINTEF

Lars Bodsberg, born 1954, has an MSc.Eng. in Applied Physics at The Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH), 1979 and a Dr.ing. (PhD) in Reliability Engineering at Dep. of Mathematical Sciences, NTH, 1993.
Bodsberg joined SINTEF in 1985 and has been Research Director at Safety Research since 2004. His main areas of competence and interests are Process safety; Reliability, availability and maintainability analysis with special emphasis on control and safety systems; Risk, safety and vulnerability analysis; and Accident investigation. He has been project manager during development of the PDS handbooks for reliability assessment of instrumented safety systems and the CRIOP handbook for safety evaluation of offshore control centers.
He has been coordinating SINTEF's framework agreement with the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway since 2005 and manager of the Gemini Centre on Reliability and Safety Studies at NTNU/SINTEF since 2008.
Bodsberg is presently member of Executive Committee of Society for Risk Analysis Europe
